MCMapper

Description

MCMapper is a program to assist the convertion of an underground map from image format into a format that allows station positions and names to be used by a computer. It includes a viewer program to find stations and calculate station charges (as used in Mornomic). It can also output this data as XML.

• Allows you to load an image into the background and then drag an drop stations and line segments over it.
• Data can be saved in XML format.
• Data can be read from XML format.
• Separate viewer for resultant files can be used to find station currents and locate stations by clicking on their name from a list.
• Image and data are stored in 1 file.
• Images can be read in JPEG and GIF formats.

Issues/Bugs

Reasonably stable, a few minor bugs.

• Images are written losslessly which can result in huge files.
• Loading and saving files is slow.

• 0.1.1: Hovering mouse over a line segment will produce information in the status bar whether or not the pointer is in the centre.
• 0.2.4: Program separated into 2, one viewer, one editor. 50% rewritten, though few feature additions. Single file format for data and image. Old bugs removed, new ones to replace them.
